Spirit are also among the teams taking part in the playoffs after a flawless Swiss group stage.
Bad News Eagles, Movistar Riders, Eternal Fire, and TYLOO have received invites to participate in the playoffs of Pinnacle Cup IV, which has reached its bracket stage after a month of play that reduced an initial pool of 28 teams down to eight.
The four teams invited to the playoffs will begin their Pinnacle Cup campaigns in the quarter-finals, where they currently await the winners of the opening round, an eight-team initial bracket that was set via the Swiss group stage.
The team that clearly headlines the first round of matches in the playoffs is Spirit, who went through the Swiss stage with a 3-0 record and come in hot from their 3-4th place showing at PGL Major Antwerp, making themselves clear favorites to run away with a victory in this cup.
Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov's side are set to face Finest for their first match, and should they advance, would then take on TYLOO, who have been bootcamping in Europe since early May.
The other team that went 3-0 in the Swiss stage, GamerLegion, will face SKADE, who are looking to defend their title having claimed victory in the previous Pinnacle Cup with wins over Copenhagen Flames and Vitality. Meanwhile, Apeks will take on ECSTATIC — with the winner facing Bad News Eagles — and Isurus will battle against K23.
